Senior Back End Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Lead and steward engineering best practices while mentoring other engineers.
  • Own defined problems from design through implementation and production.
  • Build identity and access management capabilities including authentication, authorization, RBAC, and OAuth/OIDC flows.
  • Improve AWS and cloud infrastructure, security posture, configuration, and operational guardrails.
  • Improve performance, security, and optimization for high-volume transactional databases.
  • Harden APIs, services, and distributed systems against failure and abuse.
  • Participate in incident response and remediation, address root causes, and improve observability.
  • Partner with the Security/CISO team to design and ship durable fixes for identified gaps.
  • Build and scale performant, secure services and user-facing web applications.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software engineering experience building precise and scalable distributed systems.
  • Ability to independently own and deliver well-defined problems to production.
  • Backend-focused engineering experience with comfort working across the full stack.
  • Demonstrated experience building and shipping work related to security, scale, or infrastructure.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics is ideally preferred.
  • Ability to learn and work with modern technology stacks.
  • Fintech, payments, or other security-sensitive and highly regulated domain experience is a plus.

Salary: $200k - $250k/yr
