Senior Android Software Engineer in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain the Android application.
  • Contribute to platform development and Android architecture.
  • Solve product and engineering challenges pragmatically.
  • Help inform product design and direction.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business partners.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of mobile app development experience, including at least 2 years building and shipping production Android apps and at least 3 years in a startup environment.
  • Strong Kotlin skills and hands-on experience with Jetpack Compose and MVVM or Clean Architecture.
  • Experience building consumer-facing mobile applications and integrating Firebase Authentication, Firestore or Realtime Database, and Cloud Messaging.
  • Proficiency with protobufs, REST, and gRPC, ideally in data-heavy or distributed systems environments.
  • Experience with Android unit, instrumentation, and UI testing and mobile CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated mentorship or technical leadership, strong communication, and a solid university background.
