Responsibilities

  • Partner with product and engineering teams on secure product design and implementation.
  • Conduct security reviews, help make product design decisions, and audit existing products for vulnerabilities.
  • Build agentic security tooling to identify and address code problems at scale.
  • Define and build application security guardrails that enable secure-by-default development.
  • Promote a culture of secure development across engineering.
  • Assist with incident response, vulnerability management, penetration testing, security reviews, and other security operations.
  • Improve the efficiency and scalability of security systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Have 2+ years of experience in security and/or software engineering roles, including security-related projects or security generalist responsibilities.
  • Demonstrate technical experience building secure platforms and products.
  • Have experience or interest in security design and code reviews.
  • Be comfortable partnering cross-functionally and working through ambiguous problems.
  • Be excited about applying AI to product security and implementing security and privacy technologies.
  • Be motivated by Headway’s mission to expand access to mental healthcare.

Salary: $223k - $279k/yr
