Responsibilities

Design and develop commercial realtime video codecs for 2D/3D, multiview, 360-degree, and light-field video.
Design and develop encoding and decoding frameworks and optimization algorithms for live streaming.
Research and develop video encoding algorithms for heterogeneous platforms.
Research and develop visual-quality-oriented video coding and processing algorithms.
Prepare encoder and decoder interface documentation.
Participate in the design and implementation of self-developed transmission protocols.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline.
Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and software design, along with problem-solving skills.
Good understanding of state-of-the-art compression algorithms.
Excellent programming, debugging, and optimization skills in one or more general-purpose programming languages, including C/C++.
Experience developing image or video applications such as live streaming, video conferencing, or offline transcoding is preferred.
Familiarity with neural-network-based image or video coding and processing is preferred.
Familiarity with a video compression standard such as AVS, H.264, H.265, VVC, or AV1 and its reference software is preferred.
Familiarity with NEON/SIMD and multithreading design is preferred.
Experience in international standardization work, rich experience with video coding standards, and publications in relevant academic conferences or journals are preferred.
