Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute red team operations against infrastructure components, systems, and applications using realistic organizational threats.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of ByteDance Enterprise Products and how they could be attacked or abused.
  • Conduct security exercises that emulate relevant real-world threats and attacker TTPs.
  • Translate requirements into test plans and write and execute test scripts or code.
  • Certify infrastructure components, systems, and applications that meet security standards.
  • Write detailed reports describing red team objectives, outcomes, observations, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with defense and product teams to improve security offerings.

Requirements

  • Be completing or have recently completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • Have strong knowledge in areas such as red team operations, infrastructure security, MITRE, or TTPs.
  • Demonstrate an adversarial mindset for emulating real-world attackers.
  • Have excellent professional communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely.
  • Preferred qualifications include enterprise red team experience, CTF or hacking-event participation, relevant CVEs, and reputable HackerOne or BugCrowd bug bounty experience.
