Responsibilities

  • Interpret requirements and write quality control and user acceptance test plans.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies.
  • Design, implement, and conduct testing and evaluation procedures to verify system requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and test architectures.
  • Write, implement, and report the status of system test cases.
  • Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports.
  • Provide testing subject-matter expertise for user requirements involving complex software and hardware applications.
  • Participate in risk management assessments and software or hardware development, focusing on requirements analysis, test design, and test-tool selection.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of current relevant experience.
  • Experience testing Java applications with Selenium, Cucumber, and FitNesse.
  • Strong performance-testing background using JMeter or LoadRunner.
  • Experience with automated testing, Section 508 accessibility testing, functional testing, integration testing, full regression testing, and cybersecurity testing.
  • Basic understanding of Java coding.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as software engineering, engineering, or computer science.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Preferred qualifications include Appian application testing, Microsoft Office proficiency, and good communication skills.
