QA Test Engineer, Industrial in USA new

Responsibilities

  • Build and own automated test coverage for southbound industrial connectors using OPC-UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, and DNP3.
  • Write end-to-end tests that drive Litmus Edge through its REST API and run them in GitLab pipelines on internal builds.
  • Build protocol and device simulators to test without waiting for physical industrial hardware.
  • Separate development and regression coverage and run regression suites on LTS builds and an agreed cadence.
  • Test upgrades, backward compatibility, load behavior, and long-running soak scenarios.
  • Triage pipeline failures using logs and distinguish product defects from infrastructure noise.
  • Track test cases and results in Jira and Xray and report coverage by component.
  • Review ticket acceptance criteria at the start of development.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of software test automation experience, including at least 3 years writing test code in Go, Python, or a similar language.
  • Hands-on experience automating REST API tests, including changing system state through API calls.
  • Working knowledge of at least two industrial or IIoT protocols, such as OPC-UA, Modbus, EtherNet/IP, PROFINET, DNP3, or MQTT.
  • Comfort with Linux, Docker, and CI pipelines, preferably GitLab, including analysis of pipeline logs.
  • Experience building device or protocol simulators or hardware-in-the-loop test setups is preferred.
  • C++ or Golang development experience is preferred.
  • Playwright or similar modern UI automation experience is preferred.
  • Jira and Xray experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of PLC concepts, including memory tags and symbolic tags, is preferred.
  • Performance, load, or soak testing experience is preferred.
