Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automated and manual test cases for product feature validation.
  • Run automated and manual tests to validate defect fixes and functionality.
  • Build and maintain test automation frameworks using Python and shell tools and scripts.
  • Triage test failures on a daily basis.
  • Work with the engineering manager and geographically distributed engineering team to understand product requirements and features.
  • Contribute to QA reports and provide input on release metrics.
  • Contribute to and validate product documentation.

Requirements

  • More than 10 years of experience in automation.
  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree/experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience building test automation frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux and good knowledge of shell scripting.
  • Robot Framework experience for test automation is preferred.
  • Hands-on understanding of high-availability concepts, including quorum, failover, and failback.
  • Strong practical knowledge of distributed file systems such as Lustre, GPFS, and Ceph, plus basic file system concepts.
