Responsibilities

Lead applications systems analysis and programming activities for new and revised application systems.
Partner with management teams to integrate functions, identify system enhancements, and deploy products and process improvements.
Develop high-scale, performant software platforms for data computation and processing using Python and Spark.
Establish standards for application design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation.
Resolve complex business-process and systems problems through in-depth analysis and innovative solutions.
Manage and implement successful projects while coordinating with technology and business stakeholders.
Advise and coach mid-level developers and analysts and allocate work as needed.
Assess and manage technology and business risks while supporting compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.

Requirements

10+ years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis.
10–15 years of relevant experience in applications development or systems analysis, including 9+ years building software and platform engineering solutions.
Expert-level Python and Spark development experience, including pandas, NumPy, SciPy, and object-oriented programming concepts and design patterns.
Advanced knowledge of big-data technologies, Spark implementations, Hive, Trino, Pinot Cluster, and performance tuning.
Experience building high-scale and high-performance software platforms for data computation and processing.
Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, databases, and operating systems.
Experience with Unix-based operating systems and writing SQL queries.
Experience with source-code management tools such as Bitbucket and Git.
Experience managing and implementing successful projects, with demonstrated leadership and project management skills.
Ability to adjust priorities quickly and communicate clearly and concisely in writing and verbally.
Experience in banking domains such as pricing or risk is preferred.
Bachelor’s or university degree, or equivalent experience; a master’s degree is preferred.
