Product Security Engineer (Starlink) in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design and build Starlink security infrastructure, including cryptographic and other security-critical services
  • Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
  • Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services
  • Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through implementation and recommendations to other engineering teams
  • Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements
  • Support secure and reliable internet access for underserved communities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree
  • Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang
  • Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure
  • Preferred experience contributing security improvements to complex systems
  • Preferred experience with Trusted Platform Modules and Hardware Security Modules
  • Fundamental understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP and UDP-based protocols
  • Advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline is preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements
