Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term technical roadmap for next-generation cloud-based network management platforms.
  • Lead innovation and R&D initiatives in AI-driven network operations, intent-based networking, autonomous network management, zero-touch provisioning, and self-healing networks.
  • Drive adoption of emerging networking standards, protocols, and management paradigms.
  • Establish technical partnerships with major network equipment vendors and cloud providers.
  • Participate in IEEE and IETF standards bodies and open-source networking projects.
  • Advise strategic enterprise customers on complex network management requirements.
  • Lead technical due diligence for potential acquisitions in the network management space.
  • Represent the company at networking conferences and publish thought leadership content.
  • Shape engineering practices and culture for network infrastructure software development.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in computer science, network engineering, or electrical engineering; a PhD is preferred.
  • 15+ years of experience in network software development and 8+ years in senior technical leadership.
  • Deep expertise in 5G, WiFi 6E/7, SD-WAN, SASE, Network-as-a-Service, intent-based networking, and declarative network management.
  • Expert-level experience applying AI/ML to network operations, including AIOps and autonomous network management.
  • Mastery of cloud-native networking, service mesh, container networking, network automation, infrastructure as code, and GitOps.
  • Advanced knowledge of network telemetry, streaming telemetry, observability platforms, zero trust networking, edge computing, and distributed network management.
  • Recognized industry expertise demonstrated through conference speaking engagements, published research, or patents.
  • Active participation in networking standards bodies or open-source projects and deep relationships with major network equipment vendors.
  • Experience with network operator requirements, large-scale network deployments, NOC workflows, carrier-grade network management, procurement processes, and enterprise buying cycles.
  • Track record of successfully scaling network management platforms and translating complex networking concepts into business value propositions.
  • Up to 15–20% travel availability for customer meetings, conferences, vendor partnerships, and technical collaboration.
