Principal Software Engineer, DevX Architecture in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design and ship developer tooling, core frameworks, and reusable templates that improve engineering productivity and quality.
  • Advance the agentic development ecosystem through Claude Code configuration and governance, plugins, skills, and MCP servers.
  • Strengthen authentication services and agent identity models using Keycloak, OAuth2, and OIDC.
  • Build and operate services with Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • Define standards, guardrails, and best practices and drive adoption across product teams.
  • Assess systems, identify root causes, and improve reliability and performance.
  • Lead technical solutions and complex projects from concept through completion with clear direction, accountability, and measurable outcomes.
  • Partner across engineering and product teams to resolve technical challenges and build alignment without relying solely on direct authority.
  • Prioritize work based on customer and business impact and translate technical decisions into measurable outcomes.

Requirements

  • Eight or more years of hands-on full-stack software design and development experience, including at least five years of Java experience.
  • Experience building performant, large-scale web applications and cloud-native systems on AWS or similar cloud providers.
  • Working knowledge of OAuth2/OIDC authentication and identity standards, or a strong appetite to learn them.
  • Hands-on experience applying modern AI coding tools, including assistants, agents, and MCP, to engineering work.
  • Experience with client- and server-side JavaScript; React, Node, Remix, and Terraform experience is a plus.
  • Comfort writing tests, using observability tools, and owning projects end to end.
  • Deep expertise in a relevant technical stack, including code reviews, scalability, architecture, testing strategy, performance, and cross-team integration.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Curiosity, collaboration, and eagerness to learn.
