Responsibilities

Lead architectural design and technical direction for scalable systems spanning multiple teams.
Set standards for AI-native development, including coaching engineers on AI coding assistants, agentic development tools, and AI-assisted code review.
Introduce architectural patterns and engineering standards adopted across the organization.
Define code review, quality, reliability, security, and operational standards.
Own strategic technical direction and multi-quarter roadmaps for the platform area.
Mentor senior and mid-level engineers through design reviews and architectural discussions.
Act as the primary technical point of contact between the Bangalore team and Xometry’s global engineering leadership.
Establish engineering practices and help build a high-performing India PDT team.

Requirements

12+ years of professional software development experience and a track record leading complex, multi-quarter initiatives.
Deep expertise with Python for backend services and APIs, React/TypeScript for frontend development, and AWS cloud infrastructure.
Hands-on fluency with modern AI development tools and demonstrated success using them to improve delivery speed and quality.
Significant experience with system architecture, microservices design, and distributed systems operating across teams or organizational boundaries.
A track record of creating architectural patterns adopted as organizational standards.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders across geographies and time zones.
