Principal Software Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build a first-of-its-kind ads system within the Roblox Game Engine.
  • Develop new ad formats and integrations, starting with video.
  • Design and improve high-performance systems that scale across Roblox experiences.
  • Help establish Roblox’s ads business while maintaining user experience and platform integrity.
  • Build robust, production-quality systems and collaborate with cross-functional teams on community-respecting ad solutions.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working in deep, complex C++ codebases on challenging technical problems.
  • Strong background with app metrics, analytics, or data science and the ability to interpret and act on insights.
  • High standards for data accuracy and a deep understanding of reliable data systems.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain robust, production-quality systems.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn emerging technologies.
