Responsibilities

  • Drive architecture and strategy for self-service cloud automations and paved paths across Okta.
  • Design, build, and deploy event-driven integration flows, API gateways, and asynchronous orchestration workflows using AWS and iPaaS platforms.
  • Build reusable frameworks, developer SDKs, self-service primitives, integration templates, developer portals, and operator dashboards.
  • Establish scalable architecture, reliability, monitoring, observability, audit logging, error recovery, and automated governance.
  • Partner with operations, security, platform, compliance, and business teams to deliver secure, resilient, zero-trust-aligned automations.
  • Maintain platform primitives and integration components as enterprise and builder requirements evolve.
  • Mentor engineers and influence engineering culture, code quality, developer experience, and platform engineering practices.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of software engineering experience with Java and Python focused on platform engineering, backend systems, distributed architectures, and enterprise integrations.
  • 6+ years of hands-on experience with React, Next.js, and TypeScript for developer portals, operator dashboards, and self-service interfaces.
  • Deep expertise with AWS, event-driven architectures, and enterprise iPaaS platforms such as Zapier and n8n.
  • Knowledge of Terraform or CloudFormation, API contract design with REST or GraphQL, CI/CD release automation, and unit/integration testing.
  • Experience with platform reliability, centralized logging, operational observability, error recovery, and self-service governance frameworks.
  • Demonstrated success building internal platform tools, self-service capabilities, or paved paths for enterprise engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience embedding LLM capabilities, agentic primitives, or intelligent features into cloud automations.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Cursor, including safety and quality guardrails.
