Responsibilities

Lead architecture discussions, evaluate design options, and create design documentation for complex products.
Build and modernize User Identity Graph pipelines by ingesting data across Microsoft sources and improving robustness and scalability.
Coordinate dependencies and integrations across teams while aligning delivery schedules and resolving conflicts.
Lead deployment automation, safe rollout and rollback practices, telemetry integration, monitoring, and reliability improvements.
Serve as a designated responsible individual for live-site operations, incident management, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
Drive online and offline experiments, feature-flagged improvements, graph-quality measurement, and metrics analysis.
Apply security, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI practices across code, production environments, and the software lifecycle.
Mentor engineers on coding, testing strategies, code quality, security, and maintainable engineering practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding, or equivalent experience.
Coding experience in one or more of C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
Preferred: master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 8+ years of technical engineering experience, or bachelor's degree and 12+ years of technical engineering experience, or equivalent experience.
Experience in the advertising domain is preferred.

Benefits

Employees within a 50-mile commute of a designated U.S. Microsoft office, or within a 25-mile commute of a designated non-U.S. location, are expected to work from the office at least four days per week starting January 26, 2026, subject to local law and jurisdiction.
Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.

Salary: $143k - $304k/yr
