Responsibilities

Lead and mentor software engineers while providing technical guidance on critical technology projects.
Drive customer engagement and deliver programs on schedule, within scope, and on budget.
Define software requirements and specifications with cross-functional teams.
Design, develop, test, and maintain software solutions for aerospace applications.
Conduct code reviews, improve engineering practices, and apply software architecture and design principles.
Manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Own systems engineering development across the full systems lifecycle.
Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and software engineering best practices.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 12 years of experience supporting avionics functions, including TCAS, Transponder, ADS-B, DME, or UAT.
Strong proficiency in C, C++, and Assembly.
Experience with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment pipelines.
Deep understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture principles.
Ability to manage project risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Master’s degree or advanced professional certification is valued.
Strong communication, analytical, adaptability, multitasking, and leadership skills are valued.
Must be a U.S. Person or have the ability to obtain an export authorization.
