Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of POS terminal solutions across multiple platforms.
  • Develop and maintain architectural documents and diagrams for POS terminal systems.
  • Make architectural decisions involving payment technologies, EMV standards, hardware compatibility, and payment system integrations.
  • Lead development of POS-related applications, including Android Native and related mobile applications.
  • Optimize payment processing performance and security and ensure POS product stability and reliability.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce software engineering best practices across POS and related teams.
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to align solutions with market and business goals.
  • Mentor engineers, improve developer productivity, and participate in hiring engineers with POS, mobile, and embedded expertise.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of experience in POS terminal system design, architecture, and development.
  • Strong expertise in Android Native development using Java or Kotlin and experience with Android-based POS terminal solutions.
  • Experience with cross-platform mobile development such as Flutter; familiarity with C and JavaScript is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of EMV security protocols, chip-based transactions, encryption, and key management.
  • Experience integrating POS hardware such as card readers, pin pads, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Deep understanding of payment systems architecture and integrations with payment processors and gateways.
  • Knowledge of software quality assurance principles and their application in financial systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, leadership, mentoring, and process-improvement abilities.
