Responsibilities

Develop highly reliable autonomous software systems and the simulations required to validate them.
Design, test, integrate, and maintain launch and vehicle software.
Work across application, operating system, networking, firmware, and simulation layers.
Collaborate with software and hardware engineering teams to support Starship flight systems.
Work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or another engineering discipline.
Must be graduating with a bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or PhD in 2027.
Preferred proficiency in C++, Rust, or another systems programming language.
Preferred experience with real-time embedded systems or distributed computing systems.
Strong interest in designing, architecting, and implementing reliable software.
Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and accountability skills.
Preferred experience in a nimble engineering organization or highly technical role.
Preferred academic or professional evidence of exceptional achievement, including a minimum 3.5/4.0 GPA, 95th-percentile standardized test scores, or merit-based scholarships.
Must meet applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.

Benefits

Base salary range is $125,000.00-$175,000.00 per year depending on level and qualifications.
Potential eligibility for company stock, stock options, long-term cash awards, discretionary bonuses, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Three weeks of paid vacation and 10 or more paid holidays per year.
Exempt employees receive five days of sick leave per year.
