New Graduate Engineer, Security Software in USA

Responsibilities

  • Design and build Starshield security infrastructure, including cryptographic services and other security-critical services.
  • Develop security features for Starshield routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites.
  • Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
  • Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
  • Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline.
  • Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
  • Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise-scale infrastructure.
  • Graduating in the class of 2026 or 2027.
  • Preferred experience includes contributing security improvements to complex systems and working with trusted platform modules (TPMs) and hardware security modules (HSMs).
  • Preferred understanding of network protocols, including the TCP/IP stack and UDP-based protocols.
  • Preferred advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
  • An active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance is preferred.
  • Must successfully obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance as a condition of employment.
  • Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.

Benefits

  • Base salary range is $130,000.00-$160,000.00 for Level 1 and $150,000.00-$195,000.00 for Level 2.

  • Employees with an active clearance may receive a 10% differential, up to an additional $20,000 annually, once briefed into a classified program.
  • The role is subject to U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements and requires obtaining a security clearance.
