Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of scalable automation frameworks for web and API testing.
  • Develop and review automation scripts using Selenium with Java.
  • Lead API automation initiatives using Karate and ReadyAPI/SoapUI.
  • Define and drive automation strategy across projects to improve quality and automation coverage.
  • Review automation code and enforce coding standards, best practices, and framework guidelines.
  • Mentor and guide junior automation engineers through technical reviews and knowledge sharing.
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, product owners, and client stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
  • Lead automation planning, estimation, execution, and delivery for multiple releases.
  • Drive automation integration with GitHub Actions and Jenkins to support continuous integration.
  • Analyze automation execution results, lead defect triage, and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Provide automation status, quality metrics, and risk updates to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvements in automation frameworks, processes, and engineering practices.
  • Support browser compatibility testing using SauceLabs and Perfecto.
  • Participate in sprint planning, release planning, technical discussions, and quality reviews.

Requirements

  • 9–12 years of Quality Engineering experience.
  • Experienced Senior SDET or Senior Automation Test Engineer with strong technical leadership capabilities.
  • Deep expertise in Selenium with Java and API automation.
  • Experience with Karate and ReadyAPI/SoapUI for API automation.
  • Experience owning automation frameworks, mentoring engineers, and managing stakeholders.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, CIS, or a related field.
