Responsibilities

  • Lead mobile delivery across multiple concurrent projects through the full software development life cycle.
  • Own iOS/iPadOS technical direction, including architecture, modularization, coding standards, performance, reliability, and user experience.
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs with analysts, architects, and UX designers.
  • Write and review secure, high-quality code; integrate mobile applications with backend services and modernize legacy Objective-C/UIKit code.
  • Contribute to Android features and code reviews while mentoring iOS and Android engineers.
  • Lead responsible adoption and validation of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering and automation tools.
  • Own production health by resolving crashes, performance and authentication issues, automating remediation, maintaining platforms, and leading App Store and Play Store releases.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, vendors, and startups for compatibility with existing systems.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
  • Advanced proficiency in Swift, Xcode, SwiftUI/UIKit, Combine, Swift Concurrency, Swift Package Manager, and Instruments, with working knowledge of Objective-C.
  • Working knowledge of Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack Compose, and Gradle, plus experience building maintainable mobile applications and leading mobile teams or workstreams.
  • Experience leading approved AI-assisted development tools, validating outputs for correctness, performance, and security, and coaching engineers on safe and compliant adoption.
  • Strong mobile security knowledge, including Keychain/Keystore, encryption in transit, certificate pinning, biometrics, and modern authentication.
  • Experience with Git, Jenkins, XCTest/XCUITest, observability, and App Store/Play Store publishing.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, experience working across globally distributed teams, financial services knowledge, and practical cloud-native experience.
  • Preferred experience includes regulated banking mobile products, advanced Android development with Coroutines/Flow, Jetpack, Hilt, and Retrofit, Passkeys/FIDO, app hardening, runtime protection, feature flags, phased rollouts, APNs/FCM, AWS, or AWS certification.
