Responsibilities

Own the full product lifecycle from business requirements and technology selection through coding, testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and operational support.
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend platforms, data pipelines, and storage solutions for fintech products.
Build stable, scalable, highly performant systems for financial technology use cases.
Improve code quality and mentor engineers across the team and wider organization.
Collaborate with product, finance, engineering, and other cross-functional teams.
Lead projects, initiatives, and teams with full ownership of the systems involved.
Recruit and onboard exceptional technical talent.

Requirements

10+ years of experience developing high-performance production applications.
Strong proficiency in Java, Kotlin, Scala, or C#.
Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop and Apache Spark, plus advanced SQL and data architecture knowledge.
Experience developing, maintaining, and debugging large-scale distributed systems.
Understanding of system edge cases, failure modes, lifecycles, metrics, alarms, dashboards, and operational excellence.
Experience with Scrum or Agile development methodologies.
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
Preferred experience in modern fintech or payments organizations and domains such as reconciliation, financial reporting, tax, virtual credit cards, or customer payments.
Preferred hands-on experience with Spark, ETL data pipelines, Kafka, RabbitMQ, GitLab, and Kubernetes.
Preferred experience leading projects, initiatives, or teams.
