Responsibilities

Design, develop, troubleshoot, test, and deliver secure, high-quality Android software solutions.
Review and debug code written by other engineers and promote robust automated testing and validation practices.
Lead responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system operational stability.
Lead architectural evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams.
Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve delivery outcomes.

Requirements

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced proficiency in one or more listed technologies, including Java, Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, Dagger, RxJava, JUnit, Mockito, and Git.
Experience designing and implementing Android applications, including user interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
Required experience with Kotlin Coroutines and remote data integration using REST and JSON.
Experience with RxJava, LiveData, and RESTful API integration.
Experience with mobile UI fundamentals, animations, usability, edge cases, unit testing, and application reliability.
Understanding of MVVM, MVI, and Gang of Four application design patterns.
Experience leading approved AI-assisted development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
Proficiency across the software development lifecycle and advanced understanding of agile development practices.
Preferred experience with Jetpack Room and Navigation components.
