Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, troubleshoot, test, and deliver secure, high-quality Android software solutions.
  • Review and debug code written by other engineers and promote robust automated testing and validation practices.
  • Lead responsible adoption of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering tools for coding, code review, testing, troubleshooting, and incident analysis.
  • Identify and automate remediation of recurring issues to improve application and system operational stability.
  • Lead architectural evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams.
  • Apply software development lifecycle tools and automation capabilities to improve delivery outcomes.

Requirements

  • Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
  • Hands-on experience with system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
  • Advanced proficiency in one or more listed technologies, including Java, Kotlin, Kotlin Coroutines, Jetpack Compose, Dagger, RxJava, JUnit, Mockito, and Git.
  • Experience designing and implementing Android applications, including user interfaces with Jetpack Compose.
  • Required experience with Kotlin Coroutines and remote data integration using REST and JSON.
  • Experience with RxJava, LiveData, and RESTful API integration.
  • Experience with mobile UI fundamentals, animations, usability, edge cases, unit testing, and application reliability.
  • Understanding of MVVM, MVI, and Gang of Four application design patterns.
  • Experience leading approved AI-assisted development practices and validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, secure input and output handling, resiliency, and security expectations.
  • Proficiency across the software development lifecycle and advanced understanding of agile development practices.
  • Preferred experience with Jetpack Room and Navigation components.
