Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Java application features and minor enhancements.
  • Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities, dependency issues, and patches in Java applications.
  • Use Claude and other AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, and security remediation, while independently reviewing generated code.
  • Design and execute happy-path, negative, edge-case, regression, verification, and validation test cases.
  • Coordinate production releases, release-readiness assessments, approvals, deployment activities, rollback plans, and post-deployment verification.
  • Support production troubleshooting, monthly support or release rosters, cross-team coordination, documentation, and handover to US-based teams or data center operations.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of Java development experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Core Java and sound algorithm and problem-solving fundamentals.
  • Understanding of CI/CD, build, deployment, and release pipelines.
  • Ability to analyze and fix Java security vulnerabilities and assess the impact of security changes.
  • Practical ability to use AI-assisted development tools and independently assess AI-generated code for correctness, maintainability, security, and requirements alignment.
  • Experience with test-case design, negative testing, regression testing, verification, and validation.
  • Ability to coordinate production releases, perform risk assessments, document changes, coordinate stakeholders, and obtain approvals.
  • Ability to deliver minor application enhancements and troubleshoot production issues.
