Responsibilities

Develop highly reliable software solutions used across SpaceX.
Create applications that improve SpaceX operations.
Build prototypes to validate design concepts and quantify technical constraints.
Own all aspects of software engineering and product development.
Investigate user problems and create efficient solutions.
Participate in architecture, design, and code reviews.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a scientific discipline, or two years of professional software-building experience in lieu of a degree.
At least one year of full-stack development experience.
Preferred programming experience with Python, C#.NET, Go, Scala, Java, or a similar object-oriented language.
Preferred at least one year of rigorous single-page web application development experience.
Preferred experience with version control, continuous integration and delivery, software-system design, testing, deployment, monitoring, profiling, and application performance improvement.
Preferred experience with build systems, package management, UNIX-like operating systems, infrastructure-management tools, streaming data processing, Docker, Kubernetes, JavaScript frameworks, and databases.
Applicants must meet stated ITAR eligibility requirements or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations.

The role may require extended hours or weekends depending on launch cadence.
