Full-Stack AI Engineer in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Rapidly transform business concepts into interactive prototypes using v0.dev, bolt.new, Lovable, and similar AI design tools.
  • Build full-stack applications from prototype through production, with a strong emphasis on frontend quality and backend foundations.
  • Develop accessible, performant, responsive UI components using React.js, Vue.js, and Nuxt.js while following design systems and brand guidelines.
  • Design and implement APIs and backend services, including RESTful and GraphQL interfaces, using platforms such as Supabase.
  • Manage application data across SQL and NoSQL databases and implement authentication, caching, performance optimization, and scalability strategies.
  • Collaborate with UX Designers, AI Builders, and Innovation Leads throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Use GitHub Spec-kit, Open Spec, Figma, design system tooling, and Jira to support specifications, component libraries, design handoff, and technical documentation.

Requirements

  • At least 4 years of full-stack development experience with strong frontend expertise in React.js, Vue.js, or Nuxt.js.
  • Proven experience with PHP and Python; NodeJS and Express experience is desired.
  • Hands-on experience with AI design tools such as v0.dev, bolt.new, or Lovable.
  • Experience with spec-driven development using GitHub Spec-kit or Open Spec and workflow automation platforms such as N8N.
  • Strong record of delivering production-grade full-stack applications and designing APIs, server-side logic, and database systems.
  • Experience with Supabase, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and MongoDB, plus SQL and NoSQL database management.
  • Proficiency with OAuth, JWT, security best practices, caching, performance optimization, and scalability patterns.
  • Deep understanding of design systems, design tokens, component-driven development, Figma, and component libraries.
  • Experience with TailwindCSS, TypeScript, and modern JavaScript/ES6+ features.
  • Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP, and deployment workflows.
  • A portfolio showcasing full-stack applications, design systems, and AI design tool usage.
  • Strong collaboration, creative problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
