Frontend Engineer in Remote new

Responsibilities

  • Build new features for the Arango Data Platform UI and contribute to the ArangoDB UI.
  • Develop interfaces for graph visualization, data exploration, query and developer tooling, AI-powered agent and GraphRAG experiences, and dashboards.
  • Modernize legacy frontend code by migrating it to React and TypeScript.
  • Partner with designers to implement Figma designs and prototypes while applying UX judgment.
  • Own features from requirements definition through shipping and iteration.
  • Collaborate with backend and AI/ML engineers to integrate APIs and accurately represent platform capabilities in the UI.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience developing frontend applications.
  • Strong understanding of JavaScript, React, TypeScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Basic understanding of BackboneJS and jQuery.
  • Good UX comprehension and understanding of API-based communication with backends.
  • Ability to work through complex code and develop reasonable solutions.
  • Good communication and articulation skills.
  • Willingness to take feature or product ownership and drive development.
  • Experience with unit testing and end-to-end testing is a plus.
  • Open-source contributions and ArangoDB, SQL, or NoSQL database knowledge are a plus.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, or agentic workflow tools such as Claude Code or Codex is a plus.
