Responsibilities

  • Architect and evolve Navan’s micro-frontend platform using Module Federation, React, and Angular.
  • Create and maintain shared NPM packages, component libraries, developer tooling, documentation, and reusable integrations.
  • Drive developer platform strategy and AI-assisted workflows for frontend implementation, testing, debugging, migrations, and delivery.
  • Establish reliable coding-agent workflows with clear component contracts, runnable examples, predictable build and test commands, and actionable validation feedback.
  • Define shared UI patterns for AI-powered experiences, including streaming responses, progress visibility, cancellation, error recovery, and user approval flows.
  • Establish component testing, browser automation, visual regression checks, CI gates, and human review requirements for AI-generated changes.
  • Pilot workflows, measure delivery, defect, reliability, and AI usage outcomes, and turn successful approaches into supported standards.
  • Partner with Security and AI platform teams on scoped tool access, secrets, sensitive data, and accountability for agent-generated changes.
  • Lead frontend performance, bundle-size, reliability, monitoring, and framework migration initiatives.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of frontend software development experience.
  • At least 3 years of frontend architecture experience with demonstrated organization-wide impact.
  • Deep expertise with React and TypeScript; Angular experience is highly valued.
  • Experience with micro-frontend architectures such as Module Federation, single-spa, Web Components, or similar approaches.
  • Strong knowledge of Webpack, Vite, Rollup, and monorepo management.
  • Experience establishing unit, integration, E2E, component, browser automation, visual regression, and CI validation strategies.
  • Hands-on experience using AI coding tools to deliver production changes and evaluate generated code.
  • Ability to demonstrate improvements in engineering delivery, quality, or reliability from AI-assisted workflows and drive adoption across teams.
  • Understanding of scoped tool access, secrets, sensitive data, and accountability for AI-generated changes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for collaboration and consensus-building across teams.
  • Preferred experience with observability platforms, CDN optimization, Next.js or other meta-frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS.

Salary: $130k - $288k/yr
