Founding Engineer (Full Stack) in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build polished, intuitive UIs that surface computer vision model outputs for end users.
  • Solve complex geometric problems and develop streaming systems and sophisticated user interactions.
  • Rapidly prototype features and iterate based on direct user feedback.
  • Help shape the product and engineering culture as one of the startup’s first engineers.

Requirements

  • Strong React and TypeScript skills with full-stack engineering ability.
  • Python proficiency and comfort solving open-ended, math-oriented problems.
  • Demonstrated experience taking a product from 0 to 1, ideally with real traction or paying customers.
  • Solid computer science fundamentals or an exceptional project portfolio demonstrating equivalent ability.
  • Experience as a founder, founding engineer, or early startup employee.
  • Empathetic, honest communication and a product- and customer-oriented approach.
  • Exceptional recent graduates with strong fundamentals and hustle are welcome to apply.
  • US citizenship is required.
  • Familiarity with Tailwind CSS is a plus.
  • Background in construction, real estate, or PDF workflows is a bonus.
  • Motivation to support the mission of making housing more affordable.

Benefits

  • Base salary of $100,000 to $180,000 USD annually.
  • Equity is expected given the founding-team nature of the role.
  • On-site in San Francisco, California, five days per week.
