Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain flight software for Electron launch-vehicle avionics embedded computers and ground-segment communications.
  • Develop software and unit tests for bug fixes and feature requests.
  • Support avionics simulations, including hardware-in-the-loop simulations.
  • Create software-operation documentation and participate in flight-code merge-request reviews.
  • Facilitate software architecture and stakeholder meetings, approve architecture designs and software requirements, and manage trade studies.
  • Keep work tickets current, deliver software-product training, and deploy operational software.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a software engineering-related discipline.
  • C/C++ development experience.
  • Preferred experience includes high-reliability software systems, networking, radio communications, SDR, encoding schemes, embedded software, Linux, Python, and data processing and analysis.
