Finance Systems Software Engineer - AI in Others new

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, deploy, and maintain finance automations using enterprise AI tools including Claude.
  • Evaluate native AI capabilities across NetSuite and the selected EPM platform and recommend worthwhile opportunities.
  • Partner with FP&A, accounting, and Finance Systems to identify and scope automation opportunities based on real finance processes.
  • Build quick tools, scripts, or automations when needed to remove finance bottlenecks.
  • Contribute to finance systems work including platform upgrades, NetSuite AI and agentic capabilities, and new market entry.
  • Work with the Senior Manager, Finance Systems, on scope and priorities as the AI and automation specialist.

Requirements

  • Experience shipping automation or AI-powered tools into production and supporting them after launch.
  • Some background in or genuine interest in accounting and finance, with willingness to assist during busy periods.
  • Ability to assess where AI adds value to a process and where it creates unnecessary complexity.
  • Demonstrated ownership of work from scoping and testing through delivery and maintenance.
  • Comfort helping define a newly created role and reprioritising when business needs change.
  • Strong communication skills and patience when working with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Preferred: exposure to NetSuite, EPM, planning tools, AI frameworks, agent tooling, workflow orchestration, system implementations, UAT, or structured project work.
  • Preferred: progress toward or completion of a professional accounting qualification such as CA or equivalent.
