Enterprise Security Engineer in Canada

Responsibilities

  • Build and operate identity lifecycle automation, access governance, SSO, SCIM app onboarding, phishing-resistant MFA, and conditional access.
  • Run the enterprise security program and own system availability, operating metrics, vulnerability exposure, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and harden the endpoint fleet through centralized device management, baseline configuration, patching, and compliance-as-code.
  • Operate endpoint detection and protection while tuning security posture and reducing enterprise vulnerability exposure.
  • Build automation and AI agents for access reviews, onboarding and offboarding, drift detection, and audit evidence collection.
  • Partner with detection and response teams to provide endpoint and identity telemetry and support incident response.
  • Establish secure-by-default standards for SaaS onboarding, enterprise tooling, and employee AI tools.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in IT or security engineering roles with an enterprise focus at fast-paced technology companies.
  • Deep hands-on Okta experience with lifecycle management, SAML/OIDC SSO, SCIM provisioning, and API-driven automation.
  • Experience applying phishing-resistant authentication, conditional access, and least privilege at scale.
  • Endpoint management experience at scale with Jamf, including macOS hardening and configuration-as-code.
  • Working familiarity with Windows endpoint management and EDR operations using CrowdStrike Falcon or an equivalent platform.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript, with comfort writing infrastructure and configuration-as-code.
  • Proven track record building agentic systems and a strong orientation toward eliminating manual work through AI and automation.
  • Ability to work autonomously, define solutions without an existing playbook, and balance security with business enablement.
