Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end development of medium-complexity network management features, including device configuration modules and monitoring dashboards.
  • Integrate network equipment vendors’ APIs and management protocols.
  • Build interactive charts, graphs, and network topology visualizations for real-time monitoring.
  • Optimize application performance for network telemetry and real-time updates.
  • Collaborate with backend teams on APIs for network device management.
  • Contribute to mobile applications used by field technicians.
  • Develop automation scripts and tools for device provisioning and bulk configuration.
  • Debug and resolve customer-reported network management issues.
  • Mentor Engineer II team members through guidance and code reviews.
  • Research networking technologies and evaluate their integration into the platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 2–5 years of software development experience with increasing responsibility.
  • Experience with React.js or Angular, TypeScript, and modern CSS frameworks.
  • Backend development experience with Node.js, Python, or Java, including API development and database integration.
  • Basic understanding of SNMP, SSH, and HTTP-based device management protocols.
  • Experience with relational and time-series databases for network metrics storage.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP services, particularly networking and compute services.
  • Understanding of WebSocket, Server-Sent Events, or similar real-time update technologies.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and test-driven development practices.
  • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment processes.
  • Understanding of network devices, monitoring concepts, network topologies, device relationships, and enterprise network management workflows.
  • Some exposure to networking concepts or infrastructure software is preferred but not required.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Interest in learning advanced networking concepts and protocols.
