Responsibilities

Design and build Starlink security infrastructure, including cryptographic services and other security-critical services.
Develop security features for Starlink routers, dishes, gateways, satellites, and other systems.
Design security into factory processes and provide supporting network services.
Maintain production systems and improve their security posture through direct implementation and recommendations to other teams.
Build prototypes and identify, design, and test security improvements.
Help provide secure and reliable Internet access to underserved communities.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or another STEM discipline, or 2+ years of professional experience in security software development in lieu of a degree.
Experience with at least one software development language, such as Python, C++, or Golang.
Experience designing and implementing security solutions for operating systems, distributed systems, or other enterprise or large-scale infrastructure.
Preferred experience contributing security improvements to complex systems and working with Trusted Platform Modules and Hardware Security Modules.
Preferred understanding of network protocols, including the TCP/IP stack and UDP-based protocols.
Preferred advanced degree in a technical or engineering discipline.
Strong communication, collaboration, independent-work, learning, and ambiguity-management abilities are preferred.
Must be willing to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
