Responsibilities

Manage, develop, renew, and operate data protection and backup platforms throughout their lifecycle, with a strong focus on Commvault.
Implement and optimize backup, recovery, cyber resilience, immutable storage, and cleanroom recovery solutions.
Monitor and improve service availability, performance, continuity, processes, platforms, and customer experience.
Automate management processes using Infrastructure as Code, scripting, and APIs.
Translate customer needs into future-proof solutions and advise customers on data protection, cyber recovery, compliance, and business continuity.
Collaborate with KPN departments, customers, suppliers, architecture teams, and product teams on implementations, innovation, standardization, and complex customer challenges.
Share technical knowledge and contribute to new propositions, tenders, and continuous improvements.

Requirements

Experienced platform engineer living in the Netherlands with fluent Dutch; strong English communication skills are also required.
HBO- or WO-level working and thinking capability, preferably in IT, Computer Science, Informatics, or a comparable field.
Demonstrable experience with complex backup and recovery solutions; Commvault experience is preferred.
Knowledge of storage platforms, object storage, and cloud-based storage services; Cloudian and Scality experience is desirable.
Experience with Linux and/or Windows platforms.
Knowledge of VMware, Kubernetes, OpenStack, and public cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud.
Experience with automation and scripting, such as Python and/or PowerShell.
Understanding of security, compliance, and cyber resilience concepts.
Service provider or systems integrator experience is strongly preferred.
Willingness to undergo additional ABRO or ABDO screening.
Ability to work analytically and customer-oriented across solution design, implementation, testing, and operational management.
