Responsibilities

  • Code, test, debug, deliver, and maintain production software for new and existing product features.
  • Build and advance 1Password’s filling, saving, and unified sign-in experiences across web browsers.
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, QA, project managers, stakeholders, and the open-source community throughout the development cycle.
  • Write comprehensive tests, review code, debug issues, and maintain high-quality software.
  • Mentor junior and new team members through technical guidance, knowledge sharing, and pair programming.
  • Identify major tasks, break down and estimate work, and participate in planning.
  • Create and review documentation for scalable code processes.
  • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to support production systems and resolve emergencies.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of software development experience.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and React.
  • Experience applying software development best practices and coding standards.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and propose effective technical solutions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including explaining technical concepts to non-technical partners.
  • Passion for testing methodologies and debugging techniques.
  • Experience building and maintaining browser extensions for Chromium, Firefox, and/or Safari is preferred.
  • Experience with Rust, Go, or related languages is preferred.
  • Experience with Web APIs such as DOM features, Navigation API, and IndexedDB API is preferred.
