Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary team of 3D artists, technical artists, scan technicians, XR developers, and digital twin specialists.
  • Own digital twin and XR production from site and asset capture through validated modeling and immersive deployment.
  • Plan and track resources, schedules, sprints, quality benchmarks, review cycles, and delivery across concurrent projects.
  • Direct 3D laser scanning, LiDAR, photogrammetry, point-cloud processing, mesh reconstruction, registration, and scan-to-BIM/CAD workflows.
  • Lead development of digital twin environments using NVIDIA Omniverse and USD workflows, including Omniverse Create and Isaac Sim as applicable.
  • Lead development and deployment of AR/VR/MR experiences using Unreal Engine, Unity, and enterprise XR toolkits.
  • Provide hands-on guidance for asset creation, cleanup, retopology, UV layout, texturing, lighting, rendering, and optimization using Blender, Autodesk Maya, and Autodesk 3ds Max.
  • Collaborate with engineering, IoT, simulation, supply chain, and operations teams to integrate live data and support industrial visualization and simulation use cases.
  • Review and approve high-fidelity 3D assets for dimensional accuracy, source-data fidelity, technical alignment, and real-time performance.
  • Continuously improve capture-to-twin and capture-to-XR pipelines, tools, and workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 7.5 years of experience is required; the professional skills section specifies 9+ years in 3D art or visualization production with significant reality-capture, photogrammetry, digital twin, or XR experience.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fine Arts, Animation, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience; 15 years of full-time education is required.
  • Expert hands-on proficiency with Blender, Autodesk Maya, and Autodesk 3ds Max.
  • Substantial hands-on experience with 3D scanning, photogrammetry, reality capture, point-cloud and mesh processing, and final asset delivery.
  • Practical experience developing digital twins and using platforms such as NVIDIA Omniverse and USD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience developing and deploying AR/VR/MR applications, including XR interaction and UX considerations.
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Navisworks, and scan-to-BIM/CAD workflows.
  • Proficiency with Unity, Unreal Engine, Unity Reflect, Twinmotion, or proprietary enterprise visualization and XR tools.
  • Experience with Substance Painter, Substance Designer, Mari, Adobe Photoshop, Substance 3D, and After Effects.
  • Proven experience managing teams of at least five artists or technicians with accountability for scoping, scheduling, resource allocation, and delivery.
  • A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating scan-to-model, digital twin, and/or XR outcomes in industrial, engineering, or supply chain contexts.
  • Deep understanding of modeling, UV layout, PBR texturing, retopology, lighting, rendering, and optimization of CAD- and scan-derived assets.
  • Preferred qualifications include game-development or real-time 3D experience, Autodesk, NVIDIA Omniverse, Unity, Unreal Engine, or Adobe certifications, and basic scripting knowledge in Python or C#.
