Responsibilities

Design, build, and optimize platform services for Coupang Pay business systems.
Operate infrastructure and platforms that reliably process large-scale payment traffic.
Design and implement high-availability and disaster-recovery architectures.
Advance internal CI/CD and DevOps platforms and establish engineering operating principles.
Build and operate platforms that comply with financial security and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Coupang technology organizations to improve fintech-focused operations and platforms.
Use monitoring and incident-response practices to support large-scale systems.

Requirements

At least 7 years of experience designing and developing back-end systems in Unix/Linux environments.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or a related field.
Experience developing in container and cloud environments using Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, Java, or Kotlin.
Experience operating large-scale systems, including monitoring and incident response with Grafana, Loki, or Prometheus.
Experience designing, building, and operating CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred: experience solving structural complexity during organizational and system growth.
Preferred: fintech or financial-services software development experience.
Preferred: understanding and practical experience with financial IT regulations and compliance.
Preferred: experience building and operating API Gateway or Service Mesh systems.
Preferred: experience with distributed systems, microservices architectures, and asynchronous messaging systems.
Preferred: understanding of agile software development culture and collaborative experience.
