Cloud Platform Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Operate, upgrade, scale, and improve production Kubernetes clusters across cloud environments.
  • Own and extend Argo CD-based GitOps workflows, including ApplicationSets, sync policies, and deployment standards.
  • Write, review, and maintain reusable Terraform modules with remote state, workspaces, and drift-detection practices.
  • Monitor platform health, respond to incidents, conduct post-mortems, and improve availability, performance, and observability.
  • Collaborate with application teams to onboard services and create documentation, runbooks, and self-service developer tooling.
  • Implement role-based access control, network policies, and secrets management for infrastructure security and compliance.
  • Integrate platform capabilities with CI/CD pipelines to support end-to-end delivery workflows.

Requirements

  • Production Kubernetes operations experience and experience with at least one of Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Argo CD or comparable GitOps tooling such as Flux.
  • Proficiency with Terraform for cloud infrastructure provisioning, including remote state, workspaces, and module design.
  • Ability to write scripts and automation in Python, Bash, or Go.
  • Familiarity with Helm for Kubernetes package management.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, load balancing, ingress, and service mesh concepts.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, including system documentation and cross-team collaboration.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience with managed, multi-cluster, or multi-region Kubernetes, service meshes, policy as code, observability, Kubernetes-native infrastructure as code, open-source or platform tooling contributions, or relevant certifications.
