Cloud Engineer in USA

Responsibilities

  • Build tools that improve engineer productivity and enable self-service.
  • Develop unified systems for monitoring, logging, and error handling.
  • Improve infrastructure and deployment processes.
  • Partner with engineering teams to optimize application performance.
  • Research industry best practices and apply them to advance the team.
  • Optimize and reduce cloud costs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable industry experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience as a software engineer or developer.
  • Strong understanding of common data structures and algorithms.
  • Understanding of cloud technologies such as EC2, RDS, and S3.
  • Experience with or ability to work with scripting languages such as Python or Bash and compiled languages such as Java or Golang.
  • Ability to program and automate repetitive work.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, independence, adaptability, and work ethic.
  • Willingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation for systems built.

Salary: $105k - $140k/yr
