Responsibilities

Shape technical and product direction across a collective of 20–50+ engineers and multiple squads.
Remain hands-on with coding and architecture while leading technical direction.
Partner with Product and Design leadership to define strategy, shape roadmaps, and make business-focused trade-offs.
Mobilize teams around high-impact problems and create clarity, alignment, momentum, and sustainable execution.
Lead architectural direction for complex systems and ensure scalable, cohesive designs across teams.
Drive improvements in technical quality, reliability, and scalability.
Mentor, sponsor, and develop senior engineers and future technical leaders.

Requirements

12+ years of total engineering experience.
Track record leading complex, high-impact distributed systems and driving technical direction across multiple teams.
Strong technical judgment combined with product and business awareness.
Experience with scalable backend, distributed, or data-intensive systems.
Ability to operate in ambiguous problem spaces and help teams define direction and execute.
Ability to influence and align senior stakeholders across engineering, product, and other functions.
Interest in mentoring engineers and raising technical standards.
