Responsibilities

  • Lead development of product features, experiments, technical initiatives, and complex backend systems.
  • Shape architecture decisions and influence important technical decisions across the organization.
  • Coach and influence distributed engineering teams.
  • Improve system architecture, software design, code quality, engineering practices, and team productivity.
  • Collaborate with backend, client-side, and infrastructure teams to deliver technical solutions.
  • Write high-quality maintainable code and support other engineers in doing the same.
  • Strengthen agile and Scrum ways of working.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience building performance-critical production applications using JVM technologies such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
  • Proven experience leading projects, technical initiatives, or engineering teams with full ownership of the systems involved.
  • Hands-on experience with data platforms such as SQL, Cassandra, or Hadoop, including selecting appropriate data solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
  • Demonstrated excellence in software development and coding.
  • Experience improving team productivity and effectiveness through KPI-driven engineering practices.
  • Strong software architecture skills and experience driving architectural decisions.
  • Passion for software craftsmanship, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
