Responsibilities

Lead development of product features, experiments, technical initiatives, and complex backend systems.
Act as a technical leader by shaping architecture decisions and influencing and coaching distributed engineers.
Improve system architecture, software design, code quality, and engineering practices.
Drive technical decisions and collaborate with backend, client-side, and infrastructure teams.
Write high-quality maintainable code and support other engineers in doing the same.
Strengthen agile and scrum practices and improve team productivity through KPI-driven engineering practices.

Requirements

10+ years of experience building performance-critical production applications using a JVM technology stack such as Java, Scala, or Kotlin.
Proven experience leading projects, technical initiatives, or engineering teams with full ownership of the systems involved.
Hands-on experience with data platforms such as SQL, Cassandra, or Hadoop, including selecting appropriate data solutions for application needs.
Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
Demonstrated excellence in software development and coding.
Strong software architecture skills and experience driving architectural decisions within a team.
Passion for software craftsmanship, continuous learning, and engineering excellence.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
