Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain core Android architecture and shared libraries.
  • Develop Android developer tooling and developer experience solutions for product engineering teams.
  • Work on Android build systems, observability tools, platform stability, and scalability.
  • Collaborate with engineers through GitHub pull requests and code reviews.
  • Support the Android Staff Engineer and other technology engineers on critical platform projects.
  • Apply unit, integration, snapshot, and UI testing methodologies.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate a willingness to learn and master new technologies and concepts.
  • Have a deep understanding of software engineering and Android-specific principles and technologies.
  • Understand and apply future-proof software architecture, design patterns, Android architecture, and Kotlin coroutines.
  • Understand solution trade-offs and demonstrate attention to detail.
