Responsibilities

  • Co-evolve MET Group’s AI strategy with the CIO and key stakeholders, including evaluating market, cost, open-weight, build, and buy considerations.
  • Work with delivery squads across MET entities to identify engineering and manual-work bottlenecks and design reusable agentic, machine-learning, or automated solutions.
  • Build and improve AI agents, agentic loops, engineering enablement practices, and enterprise agentic workflows.
  • Establish observability, evaluations, MLOps practices, feature and training-data approaches, evaluation datasets, and model-drift evaluation.
  • Coach business, engineering, and management teams and design and measure adoption of AI productivity practices.
  • Support quality, security, standardization, and value delivery across AI-enabled engineering workflows.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of hands-on industry experience in software engineering and AI/data science.
  • Experience developing ML solutions and AI agents for end-user AI tooling and enterprise agentic AI, including prompt and agent design, tool use, and evaluation.
  • Fundamental understanding of and experience building data science solutions.
  • Degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Software Engineering.
  • Ability to work across Sales, Trading, Technology, and senior-management contexts and develop strategic analyses and business cases.
  • Coaching instinct and ability to help teams and management become increasingly autonomous.
  • Nice to have experience with Databricks, Azure Cloud, Azure Foundry, agent-orchestration frameworks, LLMOps, MLOps, Azure agentic development tooling, and LLM gateways such as OpenRouter.
  • Exposure to the B2C/B2B energy industry is advantageous.
