ABOUT THE ROLE

We're looking for a Senior Backend Developer to drive the development of our platform. You'll have the unique opportunity to work very closely with two world-class founders that previously have helped companies such as Revolut and Blockchain to acquire millions of users and build products that process millions of transactions every day.

We’re looking to hire some of the most talented developers that the world of tech has to offer, and we’re keen to showcase their talent to the world - and that’s where you come in.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

• Work closely with the CEO and CTO to define and implement elegant solutions to interesting problems
• Be involved in the user experience design process, from wireframes and mockups through implementation and release
• We have a minimalist approach and avoid using big frameworks, with emphasis on maintainability and fast turnaround with TDD, DDD, and Continuous Integration & Delivery
• The work will focus on greenfield development to deliver a robust and scalable platform
• Projects will include building REST APIs and integration of external services to build product features
• Our technology stack is based on Kotlin, Postgres, and Redis. Hosted on GCP in Kubernetes
• Join as 6th teammate, the current team includes: CEO, CTO, FE developer, BE developer, Head of Ops

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

• Deep understanding of the Java or Kotlin
• 3 years (or above) experience in back-end development
• Bachelors Degree (or above) in Computer Science/Maths/Physics/similar
• Experience collaborating on software projects with design and frontend aspects
• Quick learner with an ambitious and results-driven personality
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Works well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• English required
